I am planning to use Lua. But few reason i am still blocked with Java and cant move 100% to Lua. Here are the reasons:
1. Lua and other framework wrappers are not available (available but 50% done)
2. Deploying Lua application require each platform binary, where java deploy allow already JNLP
3. No virtual machine and no web browser target, where Java got tons of browser objects
4. Video and Audio sucks with Lua still in 2011, where i found alternative with Java
But still want to move to Lua, because the coding is much fun then Java
